Carolina Panthers, who finished at the bottom of the NFL pack this season, are looking to draft a new quarterback. One name in the pot? Andrew Luck of Stanford.
NYTimes has a great profile of him: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/29/sports/ncaafootball/29stanford.html?scp=1&sq=Luck,%20stanford,%20football&st=cse
And after a bit of investigating, I have nothing but admiration.
- a 3.55 GPA at Stanford (better than psych and comm students at UNC)
- an engineering major
- an Orange Bowl football team
- and questions about whether or not he will actually go in the draft (he’s considering actually graduating with his degree–imagine that)
It’s a worthwhile read. Happy last day of 2010!
